Getting there

There are few to no parking spots available around the arena and the area will be very crowded before, during and after the event so we recommend using public transports to get to and from the event. From Stockholm Central you can take the green line subway towards Hagsätra to Gullmarsplan. Change to Tvärbanan at Gullmarsplan to Sickla and get off at the Sickla kaj stop. Walk towards the Max fast food restaurant and take a left to Hammarby allé and follow it until it ends. From there you will see the race arena. It is a 5-10 minute walk from Sickla kaj. You can also take bus number 74 from Gullmarsplan or Slussen. All public transport information is available at sl.se

At the arena

At the arena there will be a food court which offer many different options for the hungry and thirsty. Please note that once you are on the grandstand it may be difficult to access restrooms and vending stalls. Make sure to be at the arena on time so that you can enjoy the pre-race activities and entertainment and of course, the atmosphere. Opening hours will be available here during the fall of 2018. Race Program will be available  on the first page on this website before the event.

On the grandstand

The grandstand will be crowded as many visitors are expected to be at the arena. Children are more than welcome but please note that the grandstand may be a bit of a challenge for the smallest children since sight might be constricted by people in front of them and because of the noise. We recommend a baby carrier for the smallest children and tickets are required for children that will stand on their own. We recommend that children have ear protection.

There will be no public parking available around the arena. Please consider public transportation options as described above.

For information about accessibility, please contact us at info@are2019.com.

Dress warmly! Even if the temperature is on the plus-side the snow on the slope and the humidity adds to the cooling effect. We warmly recommend you to wear long underwear, a beanie, warm gloves, a warm jacket and above all - warm and solid shoes that keep the heat on cold surface.

The race course consist out of two courses, one red, one blue. The athletes compete one against one and each heat consist out of two runs - one in each course. If both athletes win one race each in a heat, time difference decides who wins but an athlete can bring a maximum of 50/100 from the first race. The winner goes on to the next round.
